You first should concentrate on things that don't yet work correctly, and one of these definitely is the message history which isn't really usable.

I don't think the wizard has a high priority anymore.

Ask the majority of the Psi users, as they voted for it. Typing notification gives a good feedback while talking to somebody, and helps in controlling the conversation. Maybe you don't want it, but a lot of people do.

I suggest to improve message notification. I have two monitors - it would be nice to choose on which one should popup notifications appear. And improve sound notification - choices not to make sounds, when the message window is focused. Also make a difference between popuping up a new window and raising an existing window when a message comes.

I liked how the history was made in gaim - it showed las few messages and put a horizontal line in places where window was closed (ie. conversation ended). I would suggest putting these marks optionally into the history (on windows close, time elapsed from last post etc. History should be searchable (search string and filter out my/others messages)

"Contact is typing" is available as source patch, and absent in Psi-0.9.2-test1.

This is a transport feature, not a Psi feature.

Please check the ICQ Transport (I think there are several implementations) documentation to see which versions can do this (if any) and use a server that has that version of ICQ Transport. Good luck!

What version will have "Tabbed browsing"? I thing now, when file transfer is almost done, it one of the most needed functions..

tabbed browsing of what? if you mean tabbed chat windows, it's on the way AFAIK.

I didn't even think of tabbed chat windows! That would be great! I'm ill and get confused at the best of times, and trying to deal with multiple chat windows is hard.

More MUC support would be great, as a lot of DP (see my sig) people I have encouraged into jabber have abandoned Psi because they can't manage our MUC groupchat (kick, change scripts etc.).

Then ft. of course.

I agree with the caveat on the seeing-what-someone-is-typing thing. I often have second thoughts, or, due to the illness, mess up the typing completely and have to retype it more than once. I want it to go when I'm finished, not while I'm muddling around.

(e.g. I had to retype the above several times before it made sense.)

Thanks as always to the programmers who work so hard to make all the wonderful aspects of Psi available to us. :)

and if tabbs are coming with some real UI changes than we'll have to wait :-/
