Can't Chat with Logged in User

Subject: Can't Chat with Logged in User

Hello,

I have Jabber installed on a server and Psi installed on 2 desktops.   Both users can "login" to Psi and are onlne, they can add new contacts, but the contacts are always offline. No one can chat.

User A is logged in and set to "online" in Psi.   So is User B.   On user A's chat window, it lists user B as offline.

User B is logged in and set to "online" in Psi.   On User B's chat window, it lists user A as offline.

Any ideas on how get a user to appear as "online" so we can chat?

User A: right click User B in contact list, choose Authorization -> Re-request authorization. User B should now see a message box and needs to grant authorization. Then do the same in other direction.

That was it...we couldn't get the authorization.

The other problem was that I was just using usernames.

So i was trying to talk with jsmith when I should have been trying to talk with jsmith@127.0.0.1
