Subject: Experience with roster search in 0.12
Hi,
I'm trying 0.12-RC2 now and I must say that new search feature doesn't suite me well. Because it's important for me, here is my experience and suggestions.
In 0.11 I just typed first letters of nickname and pressed enter when desired contact has focus.
In 0.12-RC2 I have to type first letters of nickname and then I have to use mouse to open a chat on a person in filtered list (or press tab and then down arrow at least 10 times (I have quite a lot accounts and they are all visible in the list))
I like one thing about 0.12 search - it uses all words from nickname to do the search (at least for first word)
Here are my suggestions for improvement/bug reports to current version:
1. enable to choose from filtered contacts by keyboard (when you press down/up arrow, you can move in filtered list)
2. automatically open chat window with first contact in list when enter is pressed (even with focus in the search box)
3. when search box is closed (by esc or by x), then focus is set to PSI icon and I'm unable to do next search again
4. hide accounts and show only contacts (show only for users, with same nickname from different accounts). Or at least let the account line to be skipped, when using up/down keys
5. enable true multi-word search - If I have contact with "James Brown" nickname, I would like it to be found when I type "james brown" and also "brown james". Now, only the former option works.
What do you think?
