Subject: Asus Eee PC
Has anybody got a working version of psi for the Asus Eee PC's Linux distro?
I found 0.9, but I was looking for something with StartTLS support (0.11).

Some pages report this as being a heavily customized Xandros4, others say it's Debian etch. I have no clue.

Thanks

It doesn't matter which distribution it is as long as you're prepared to build psi yourself. :) I doubt the user experience will be good though as the option window is HUGE in pixels.

I guess EEE comes with Xandros, as that is the linux brand of Asus as far as I know.

Another alternative is to use the generic linux version that textshell provide, but he has to link to it himself.

Yeah, I forgot to explicitly say I was looking for binaries.
I don't have a dev or build environment in my Eee, nor does it have space to take one :P

I built a package for the Eee PC version 0.11 and also created AsusLauncher icons.

I did submit it to the person in charge of contributed builds, but it hasn't appeared so far.

In the meantime you can download it here.

Albert, The user experience is fine. The options dialog is slightly too big for the screen, but you just use alt-drag to move it a bit, all options are visible, just the ok/cancel/apply buttons aren't.

After installing it I get:

psi: error while loading shared libraries: libQT3Support.so.4
Where can I find this?

You need Qt4 module called Qt3-support, which is an optional module. So this can be a separate deb or sth.

If you compiled Qt by yourself - you need to set appropriate configure option. If you got Qt from your distro, this module should be somewhere "near", but I cannot give you more details because I don't know Eee. It may be a separate package, or something like this. And I don't know how you manage packages in that distro.

Xandros is Debian-based so try this:

apt-get install libqt4-qt3support

in root's terminal
This should work for all Debian-based
