Descriptions in contacts from Gadu-Gadu transport
Psi-Gentoo can do that so I put here the sources of that port.

Subject: Descriptions in contacts from Gadu-Gadu transport
I know that the request I ask is connected with very strange and stupid protocol called Gadu-Gadu but it's the most popular in Poland. Thanks that I have to look for a jabber server which support this protocol transport but anyway

Is it possible to put a Gadu-Gadu (GG) desctriptions like in Psi-Gentoo. It's terrible that I have to install Psi-Gentoo which isn't resilient as good as 'native' Psi.

That's debian respository with the source.
To get them you need to add these lines to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb-src http://czadman.dug.net.pl/debian/ testing main
deb-src http://czadman.dug.net.pl/debian/ unstable main

and type as a root:
apt-get update
apt-get source psi-gentoo

or just download it from temp. mirror:

Welcome to the world of Psi newer than Psi-0.10. :)

Psi-0.11 is able to display contact's status descriptions in roster without any need for further changes. Furthermore, incoming Psi-0.12 will be able to display status descriptions of offline contacts (this feature was requested very often).

--- EDIT ---

Procedure to display contact's status descriptions in roster:
1. Psi|Options|Toolbars.
2. Select any toolbar you wish to modify. The default Show contacts is more than adequate.
3. On the left list select Show Status Messages icon in Show contacts and drag it to the right list.
4. Press OK button.
5. In roster window, click the newly added button to toggle between showing and hiding contact's status descriptions.
6. You may now remove the button for the toolbar.

If you want status messages to appear beneath the contact's display name, then you should be interested with <single-line> tag in options.xml configuration file. Please note that in Psi-0.12 you will be able to modify settings in options.xml configuration file directly from Psi's UI.

I can't see any option in the option menu which can show contact's status.
Thats the screens from my Psi: http://picasaweb.google.com/ruppertus/Psi

Anyway I have that button you mentioned about. But it doesn't work when I press it.
