Subject: Problems with groupchat
Hi,

Using the Psi 0.12-dev. Chat (message) in groupchat kills other room members, so they will be kicked out when you chat.
Haven't this problem with 0.12-dev before - few weeks ago - and no problems with version 0.11.
Only the latest 0.12-dev has this "nice feature".

Any hit this issue before?

Thanks.

Do the messages you send generate some kind of error message? Example: If you encrypt messages and they can't decrypt it, then they will send an error message that with most ejabberd servers will have them kicked. Otherwise, can you give us more information?

I don't  encrypt messages intentionally.
The setup has not changed, so the issue reproduces on the same client (Linux) with the latest 0.12-dev.
When I now switch to 0.11, everything works just fine. It also worked in the beginning of Jan with 0-12-dev.
So seems that the latest 0.12-dev updates has changed the issue.

There's no error messages in the groupchat - I just see normal 'disconnected' messages in the groupchat when other has gone after I have pressed <enter> in the groupchat.
Found that not all are kicked off - those who use Linux clients are still there, but Windows users will be kicked off (not sure if this info is helpful though).

Also noticed that when I chat with some individual (one to one), I get an error
"Bad request" - The sender has sent XML that is malformed or that cannot be processed."
but I can continue to chat with him/her (no disconnect/kick off).

Something has changed for sure but you are not aware of that.

Psi-0.11 and snapshots of Psi-SVN from early January 2008 use old configuration files (config.xml + options.xml) while current Psi-SVN snapshots use other (options.xml + accounts.xml). All files reside in location pointed with $PSIDATADIR variable (or its default setting).

Ok, that could be a useful info.
Is this file options.xml-preOptionsMigration related to that change?

Wonder if this is caused by bad options or bad xml files?
Or do I need remove some extra 0.11 xml files (from .psi/profiles/default) to use 0.12-dev now?
If I remember right, haven't changed any options/settings when applied those latest svn updates.

Yes, it is. It's a backup copy of options.xml prior to migration from old configuration system to the new one.

Removed 'profile' directory (so all xml files) and start use Psi again, but didn't help.

Any ideas?

Could it be possible get 0.12-dev version from ~3 weeks ago somehow - so try use older version and test if any changes?

Yes it is - found answer for this myself.

Revert back to rev 920 and 0.12-dev works again!

So the problem is introduced after rev 920.

More tests shows that the problem is with rev 937 (try to remove the keyboard shortcut hacks).
So with rev >= 937 I have this problem described above, but no problems with rev versions <= 936.

Can't test with psi room because can't login to public jabber server using host and port 5223 specified.
So using host and port 5223 connection when the issue reproduces.
