Subject: Xinerama: popup or pulldown menus appear in first screen only
Hi everybody,
this is a bug in the latest SVN version (revision 773) and I am going to post it to the development mailing list as well (as dictated in the guidelines for the bug report forum), but I don't see the harm in posting it here as well (this seems to be quite an active forum).
I have a TwinView setup (Nvidia drivers provide a Xinerama extension for cards with more than one video output port) with two monitors, and in revision 773 any popup and pulldown menus are restricted to the first (the left) Xinerama screen.
That is, when I position the contact list window somewhere on the second (the right) screen and call any of the menus (Psi button, General, Status, View, ...) they appear at the correct height, but on the wrong screen. See the linked screenshot [1] for an example (I had to smudge a few things, but I think it gets the point across).
If I remember correctly this worked fine in previous revisions, not sure when it broke. It's probably easily fixable, but needs to be addressed for the lucky people with more than one screen
