Subject: Stuck in Auto Reconnect
I'm experiencing a problem with Psi 0.11 (post beta 5 daily builds) where after a disconnect of unknown reason (possibly the 24 hour disconnect cycle of my DSL connection), Psi tries to reconnect (you can see the connect animation) but never reaches a connected state again, until you manually set it offline and then online again. Personally I'm experiencing the problem with the Psi 0.11 build of 2007-04-14 for Windows XP SP2. Friends of mine report the same error on Ubuntu and MacOS X. We're all connecting to a Openfire 3.3.0 on a Debian Etch Server. I can't say anything else but that it's happening again and again, about 2-4 times in a week (I'm using multiple resources for home and work, and sometimes the home resource is mysteriously gone).

I have to affirm the problems Dimedo described, because I am experiencing the same problems with Psi 0.10 for Debian Etch and Windows XP SP2. Psi gets disconnected from the XMPP Server and tries to reconnect itself (I have configured this in the options menu). But it will not reconnect to the server until I manually set the connection state to offline and afterwards to online again.

I'm experiencing the same problems like Dimedo and Drokzid and I'm also using Psi Build 0.11 and Windows XP SP2. If Psi gets disconnected from the server and it tries to reconnect, it stucks and i have to set it 'Offline' and 'Online' again.

AFAICT this is limited to the client. I've deployed Psi 0.10 as the client for all the desktop machines at my school. The server is an Ubuntu box running ejabberd and the desktops are all XP machines. If the wireless network drops the connection for any reason, manual reconnection is required. It *never* reconnects even though auto-reconnect is enabled. It does not make any difference whether you automatically connect on startup, and SSL is not being used. I hope this helps.
