Not that this is representative of the entire planet, but it's still a neat little trophy for us.  (That we've won consistently.)

Thanks guys!

I don't want to sound sceptical, but Gajim and Kopete are the winners in that list. It's time to shape up and start winning our users back. I'm convinced that 0.11 will do that, because it is a lot better than most of those clients in a lot of aspects, whereas 0.10 clearly isn't.

I agree we have some movin' to do (and a lot of potential), but not sure which sort of math you are using that describes them as the winners.  Are you referring to us losing points whereas they held steady?

Some stats:

  • According to Sourceforge, Psi version 0.10 is averaging about 1,500 downloads a day which is awesome, but its trending downwards (probably due to the lack of a new release).
  • Website # of hits, daily average April 06: 92561
  • Website # of hits, daily average March 07: 121813

Beta downloads (totals for the month, Feb 07):
  • psi-0.11-beta5-win32.zip: 2299
  • psi-win32-0.11-beta4.zip: 674
  • Psi-0.11-beta5.dmg: 305

The visitor locations (following unresolved IPs, .net & .com):
  • Poland with 7.62%
  • Germany with 5.71%
  • Russia with 3.97%

And yes, Firefox wins.  :D

Going from 5% to 12% and from 7% to 11% is hardly staying steady, that's more than doubling your amount of users ;-)

Oops, I misread it.  Yup, I agree.  I was looking at the previous two rounds and somehow ignored the first and most important column.  :)

Nah, not so impressive; on my personal server, Coccinella has a 100% usage percentage :P

And on my server (not only used by me), Psi has 100%, but I think that might not count.

Subject: New build! Bout time! :D
Psi is definitely Teh Woot in my opinion, but other users will have gotten impatient for a release and left the Psi camp. I don't think it was quite made clear what was so unusable about Qt3 that more interim builds couldn't have been made.

It wasn't that Qt3 was unusable, but Qt4 provides much more.
Switching was always going to be a big job, but no-one had anticipated taking a year, or we would probably have done things differently.
