Subject: IE 7
Just for your info, when I try and visit this forum with IE7 (pretty recent beta version – only a few weeks old), it crashes IE7.  Probably an IE7 problem but just throught people mmight like to know.

A website that makes a browser crash is *definitely* a browser problem. Anyway, as long as it's a beta, there's no shame for MS (yet) ;)

This must be one of the posts that got lost in the backup.

I know, all UNB forums crash IE7. There's nothing we can do about it but switch to a real browser, finally.

Wow that's weird.  Yves, do you know where the problem is?  As much as I personally abhor IE, I don't want to exclude anyone.

Nope, didn't investigate this any further. I only know that a crashing final IE7 would be really great because it's way better than an ugly rendering IE7 (some people may actually see it's an application problem, not the web developer's fault, and finally switch so anything else).

If this bug still exists when IE7 is released, then I'll put up a warning upon entering the forum using conditional statements explaining the problem and some text like "if you don't believe me, go ahead and click here to enter the forum".  That should get the point across pretty well.

Halr9000, maybe you could upgrade this Unclassified NewsBoard to a newer version. Because in the new version a couple of servere security issues are resolved and IE7 should work too in that case (and would I be able to visit the forums again in Windows)
