Hello translators,
A full translation must consist of:
psi_xx.ts file
This holds the completed translation text. 'xx' is your two-character language code. Get this file from a previously existing translation, or by adding the file name into the TRANSLATIONS section of src.pro and running "lupdate src.pro" to generate it. A .ts file is an xml file that can be edited by hand or by using Qt Linguist.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When doing your hard translation work, you'll notice translatable strings such as 'psi/smile', 'psi/cancel', 'status/online' and similar ones. These are the icon names, and if you'll translate them, the icons won't show up correctly in some places. So the best thing that you can do is to 1) Simply mark them as translated (simply click on yellow question mark, and it will become green check, no need to write translation!), 2) If in doubt whether should you, or should not do the translation of the string, you could look at psi_ru.ts file. It is maintained by one of the developers and should be almost perfect (NOTE: at the time of writing, psi_ru.ts is 80-90% complete, but not all strings have been translated yet).

xx_install.html file
This holds translated installation text (in html format) for the website. See the end of this post for example english text. Put author information in here (names and addresses).
A proper license for your translation.
Any license compatible with Psi is acceptable, like GPL. If you don't care about licenses, then state "MIT" as your license, which basically means it is free to use for anything. This will go in your xx_install.html file also.

1) Download the language pack by clicking the "Psi translation - Lang" link at the top of this page

2) Place the file in the directory appropriate for your operating system:

<b>GNU/Linux</b> - Copy <i>psi_en.qm</i> to $HOME/.psi/
<br><br>
<b>Windows 95/98/Me</b> - Copy <i>psi_en.qm</i> to C:Program FilesPsipsidata (if you installed Psi
somewhere else, be sure to adjust that path).

<b>Windows 2000/XP</b> - There are two methods:

Note: The install html file should be converted to UTF-8 format using the iconv program before sending it to the Psi team for inclusion on the download page.
