Subject: Huge mistake on web pages!
Coming from Croatia I have noticed that on "Download/Language packs", beside the official Croatian flag it says Serbia and beside Serbian flag in cyrilic is written translated 'Serbia'. Now I wanted to state that those two are different countries and don't have anything in common except former State we were living before about 15 years, similar language (but not the same!), the war where we were defending our freedom in front of Serbian agresor. I'm not fanatic nationalist but ofends me when such mistakes are done.
So I would kindly request that you change this, for me very huge, mistake.

Thx!

I've passed the information to Hal, our Webmaster.

Sorry, for our mistake, it wasn't made on purpose. Anyway, thanks.

Not speaking either language, this is vital information before I can make any corrections.

I don't think it's made on purpose :) For the start it's good to change text beside the flag :) when I'll make some free time I'll look into it to see if the language pack is Croatian or Serbian. But you can check if your are on the right track on http://www.eudict.com it's very good on-line dictionary that can help you to translate English terms on Croatian..

Hope this helps:)

For what it's worth, the code for Croatian is hr, and Serbian's code is sr. The flag for Croatian is correctly from Croatia. I'm not sure what the flag for Serbian is -- it should be the Serbia and Montenegro flag though. As of the text -- I can't understand a word of it. :D

The Cyrillic one (Српски) means exactely Srpski (by simple replacement of Cyrillic letters with their closest Latin equivalents).

I am very sorry about the mistake. I've updated the flag information on the webpage and is populating with the new flag.

I pulled the text "Srpski" directly from the translation file. So if something is wrong, it is probably the flag.

Thanks!!

As I can see now there is no Croatian language pack then? As I can see, if I'm correct, there is Cyrillic (Српски) and latin language (Srpski) pack for Serbian with different flags?
Text is the same and the flags are different :)

Sorry for making a conffusion about this but now I can see different flags for the same language. But one
Picture I have previously posted is showing Croatian (rounded with circle) and Serbian flag (the other one) (but with a glitch- it should be red, blue and white - there is no gray color on it as it is show on that picture).

Since I am very confused on what is actually needs to happen, I want to ask some questions.

I think there are currently 2 issues that is confusing me and if you can clearify this, I can fix the issue we are having.

1) Srpski and Српски is the same language? One is in latin and the other is in Cyrillic? If this is the case the language pack is labeled wrong. They should be both "sr" and not "hr". I really need somebody to confirm this information for me since I can't read ether one.

2) The flag for both of these are supposed to be the same? If so what flag does it need to be. The Red/Blue/White combination flag or Blue/White/Red combination? I am very confused since I get mixed result online.

there is no gray color on it as it is show on that picture

Your talking about the flag put on "Српски"? Its actually a very very dark blue, I couldn't tell at first but when you zoom in to the picture it will be clear that its dark blue. Going back to question 2. This is the flag that should be used for both?

Sorry I'm asking so much question but I do want to fix these problem and resolve the issue.

Thanks

Alrighty, I made a section in the wiki for how translation files are named. Akito, please read it over and correct anything.

I can't read the language names, so I'll go by the file names. preky1, let me know what's wrong with what I'm saying:

psi_hr.qm is a Croatian translation for country of Croatia.
Croatia has this flag.
"Srpski" stands for Croatian.

psi_sr.qm is a Serbian translation for country of Serbia and Montenegro.
Serbia and Montenegro has this flag.
"Српски" stands for Serbian.

Note: it seems like instead of fixing the possibly bad flag for Serbia and Montenegro, it looks like the good flag for Croatia got changed to the flag of Serbia and Montenegro on the download page.

I have a Serbian translation for UNB, called "Srpski". I have an e-mail contact for this information.
There seem to be two different Serbia: Serbia and Montenegro together and Serbia alone, both with different country flags. From the Wikipedia language selection, "Српски" and "Srpski" are the same word for the Serbian language. This is all... very weird.

The problem is the actual file that I have, used to be named psi_yu.ts and qm. I belive the translation was changed to the hr after it was reported that it was not the language code (Yu is the country code for yugoslavia). So the language pack name on the site might be wrong. I just noticed this but the installation instruction page actually still say psi_yu for all the file reference.

Another thing to note is that, the text "Srpski" comes directly from the translation file. I pulled the string directly out of the file to display on the page. This way there is no error in the actual string that I am using. I ran "Srpski" through a translation program and it came up "Serbian".

Also about the flag, which to me is the most confusing right now. From the CIA's webpage yes the flag is still the Blue/White/Red, but from the research i've done it looks like the government have adopted a new flag. I think you can get a little bit of history from.
http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/cs-sr.html
or if you go to for the officia information.
http://www.srbija.sr.gov.yu/pages/article.php?id=5412
you will see that there flag is red/blue/white.

My history/Current event of these area is not very good and I will admit that I don't know the details. This is why I'm trying to gather as much information so I can correct the issue.

Thanks

After doing a little bit more research I think I finally figure it out about the flags.

Serbia - red/blue/white
Montenegro - Red flag with eagle seal?
Serbia and Montenegro - blue/white/red

If I'm wrong please let me know.
