Windows XP Pro SP2, PSI v0.10-test1.

It goes offline automaticly, but even though I have set PSI to go online automaticly when the computer starts, it just sits there offline.

0.10-test1 is not (yet) delivered with an installer.
The autostart function of Psi comes with the installer.
The installer puts a shortcut in the startup menu which points to your Psi installation.

If you've placed 0.10-test1 in some other folder, or it has some other name, the startup shortcut will not work.

He is talking about going offline after sleep i think. You are right, Psi does not come online after coming from sleep. We decided to do this in 0.12, and do it right such that it behaves as you expect.

EDIT: My Reply was written before seeing Spike's post. Thank you the information.

I don't think you got it. When I HIBERNATE the computer and turn it on again, everything comes back up - also PSI, just like it was before I hibernated. PSI just doesn't automaticly go online again.

Doesn't the programs get a message that signals about coming out of hibernation, just like it gets a signal before going into hibernation (thus enabling PSI to go offline).

This is NOT about shutting down windows, but about hibernation, so it shouldn't be related to startup folders or the like.

New in 0.10
- Psi will now sign out before Windows or Mac OS X machines go to 'sleep'

Kev's post doesn't mention anything about waking up ;) Anyway, we preferred doing it right and restoring the state before hibernation, than just coming online with all accounts (which might be annoying). Since this requires more work, we decided to postpone it.

Fine fine.

In the long run it would be nice with an option to "Automatically connect on wakeup" alongside "Automatically connect on startup".

I'm real happy about it going offline automatically, it was a nuseance before.
Going online again is a minor issue.

any support for this in linux? maybe just in kde (as there is already some kde specific features in psi)...
I don't know if there is any standard for this, but it should not difficult to implement.

Ante Scriptum: Psi doesn't have any KDE specific features (except for the Psi menu item which is installed for KDE - this will be fixed, to be visibile for all DEs)

This could be easier to implement IF:
1. we have interprocess communication implemented, with DBUS support
2. there's some daemon emitting a suspend even on the system message bus (in DBUS) and Psi captures it

I don't know about 2), but Psi doesn't certainly support DBUS, yet. Inter-Process-Communication (with DBUS) will be supported after Psi is ported to Qt4 (the KDE guys are working on Qt4-DBUS bindings).
