What is the error message you are getting from Psi?

As for your screenshot - it seems that JRU is down (again). You may either try looking for a working copy on the internet (search word: JRU or Jabber Roster Utility) or wait until one of admins wakes up (time zones

) and sees what has happened.

The thing freezes the minute I click register after creating a new account. My first account the day before yesterday was like this: thename@Jabber.fr. All went well as I speciafied my proxy settings, etc.
There was a time I decided I wanted to have my account name and password changed for let´s say my first data input was somewhat in a hurry although it was correct. That´s where problems began. I haven´t been able to connect at all eversince.

I uninstalled Psi and installed it in the hope to have the chance of creating a new account. All to no avail for it kept my initial account data no matter installing it anew.
Then I uninstalled Psi after which I went to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrador and deleted the folder PsiData. That must have done the trick for I installed Psi again and it was all fresh and new_I was to fill up the form for a new account. Eventhough, I can´t get to connect............... am so helpless.

The pics are different attempts to register with, say ...@Jabber.com , ...@Jabber.org, ...@Jabber.org. That´s where I stand.

PS. Sofar the JRU is just a curiousity for me. It means no further at this stage

All you needed was to go to Psi|Manage accounts|Add... instead of deleting PsiData folder.

The message says that Psi is having problems connecting to the server. If I were you, I would go to connection settings (especially proxy setup on Connection tab) and see whether everything is OK there. Make sure that proxy type is correct (usually HTTP "Connect" is the one you need), same goes for proxy server name and port. Don't check Use authentication checkbox unless you are 100% sure that you need to provide username and password for proxy server. And remember to accept all changes by clicking Save button. Be sure that the proxy selection combo shows the proxy server you have just edited.

Hi there Michalj

I don´t know what else to do, how else to proceed.
This PC has been formatted today. This window account is totally new. I´ve just installed Psi once again and put in entirely new data (RJ_Friend@jabber.fr) as my Jabber ID. It´s just incredible. There´s more people here in Cuba who are Psi clients; I can´t understand how come I can´t be one of them.
All the proxy settings are correct. I´ve put in data I have to use all too often to gain access to internet and to watch video (at BBC, for instance) , to listen to radio stations of which am a fan. Am telling you about things I use almost constantly, data required of me by the server proxy. That´s why I garantee it´s a 100 % correct. As it comes to the proxy, am entirely clueless
