Today, I was asked if there was a PDF version of the documentation.  As some already know, Docbook can be converted to PDF.  Unfortunately, I don't know how to do the conversion to PDF (and I don't have the necessary resources for that).

Is there someone with more knowledge about Docbook who can do the conversion to PDF? The Docbook sources for the documentation can be found on here.

IIRC, you can use openjade to convert it to .tex, which can be processed by jadetex. Only, docbook is such a complicated mess i'm not going to make my hands dirty again on trying to figure out how everything works again :( Sorry.

A little Googling returned many pages, however this one: http://www.linuxfocus.org/English/May2000/...rticle152.shtml seems to answer Your question...

I have complete (La)TeX up and running (including pdftex, pdflatex and pdfjadetex), if You need it... and I can give any help regarding (La)TeX.

I was trying for few last days... but openjade floods me with hundreds of error messages and produces no TeX output. :(

I don't want to use xmlto, as it wants some TeX derivative. I have complete (La)TeX environment on my system(s) and installation of another one is just insane.
