Ok, I'm trying something new.  The plan is to open this forum during beta periods, and close when the beta ends.  Now let me define a term:

beta period: The period during a software release cycle where you have acheived most or all of your goals towards the next milestone, and ending once you are satisfied with the quality and stability after making any last minute fixes and changes during the beta period.

However, it gets a little confusing because Psi has ALWAYS been in beta.  Technically we will be in beta until we reach 1.0.  But, the project has many milestones and we call those "point releases" or "minor releases".  So in this case, when I say beta, I mean the perioid before the next point release.

Ok, that said, the point of this forum is to discuss ONLY the current beta.  I will close this forum when the beta perioid is over.  Any discussion threads of the CURRENT version in this forum will be moved elsewhere by a mod.

If you are a developer, or play one on TV, feel free to discuss beta stuff on the psi-devel list, as always.  It's not going away.  This forum is mainly for the non-developers.

So, where am I supposed to post bug reports for the beta then? In the Bugs forum, here or on the devel-list?

Notes (mostly for non-developers):
- beta period = the period between Psi 0.9.X-testY and Psi 0.9.X (final)
- whenever last Psi public build has "-testY" in the name, this Forum should be used

This is the way we think the Forum won't get crowded with lots of replies on a test build (a test build is expected to have many replies, hopefully not with bugs).
The rest of the Forum will remain for Final Releases only.
