We're feature frozen for Psi-0.12, I'm afraid. But, as usual, it depends on Kev. :P

Subject: Foobar2000 support
Just a little announcement: Since putting foobar2000 (or any other player) support into Psi is impossible right now, I decided to go other way - I wrote a nice customizable plugin for foobar that can save track information into a file.

Advantages of using this plugin instead of foo_winamp_spam:
1.  artist, title, album & track are published correctly (instead of "Title - Artist" as.. title when using Winamp interface).
2.  it is possible to publish only files from media library, so your "private songs" ;) won't go to the world
3?. does foo_winamp_spam support unicode? I think it does not.. but maybe I am wrong.

You can download foo_tunefile from my website.

To use foo_tunefile with Psi, you need to:

    * write file named tune to Psi profile's directory (by default, your file should be saved as: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\PsiData\tune)
    * write information about: title, artist, album, track and length in separate lines of the file. For example, you can use this template:

          %title%$char(10)
          %artist%$char(10)
          %album%$char(10)
          %tracknumber%$char(10)
          %_length_seconds%
Note: $char(10) is needed to start new line.

This amarok script seems to do the work. It does not set any status message, instead it uses user tune which means your server needs to support PEP. To communicate this information to Psi the file ~/.psi/tune is written to.

I found a further iteration of this script and added my own enhancements... The packaged product ready for installation in Amarok for use along with Psi is available.

If you are curious about the details of that incremental evolution, I posted an article. This goes toward XEP-0118 compliance.
