Well some will, and some will not.  Not every patch created is something that has wide appeal.  Or sometimes there is demand for the feature/change, but one of the main devs may have on their todo list to re-write the section of code that a patch applies to, thereby making it unproductive to temporarily fix something that is about to be rewritten.

exactly, that's why there are pseudo-forks like psi-skz. for people who like some features which will never get into official builds.

Home of Psi-SkZ: ftp://ftp.xiaoka.com/friends/skazi/psi/
You may find Windows binaries in /exe-only subdir.

Just in case (I don't remember US date format): numbers are dates in DDMMYY.

Important thing - some of Skazi's patches are incompatible with latest CVS.
Here is cleaned up patch set, they were working just 24 hours ago, maybe it is still possible to use them, I'll check it tomorrow and make fixes if needed.
For Linux users: download this script, place in separate directory and run it with "./builder.sh update prepare build". It will download everything needed, apply those patches and compile Psi. Don't care about progress messages in polish language, everything's OK as long as they all start with "(--)". I cant promise it will work, anyway :).
For Windows users: wait for someone to take care of Psi-SkZ builds, I can't because of this.
If you want something to be done right, do it yourself.

That's been mentioned about a 100 times before, and you can rest assured: it's on the roadmap ;)

A patch is a file that contains changes to the source code. It is applied to the sources using special programs. You can afterwards compile the program for yourself. "Contact is typing notification" will get into the official Psi after an intensive research of the code changed with the patch.

Patches must not be mistaken for plugins.
There is no official/unofficial builds that include these patches, as far as I know.

At least Psi-psz contains Contact Is Typing Notification, and I think Psi-SkZ contain(s|ed) it too.
