Could someone please tell me if jabber.ru is OK? I haven't been able to connect to it for several days.

I haven't changed my details at all, though I did have to reinstall Psi after TechTool Deluxe killed my iBook <grrr>. I zeroed the disk and it was a clean install. All my other Jabber accounts work fine.

I can ping jabber.ru, but my XML console shows absolutely nothing when I try to connect. One blank, black, dead screen, which is rather spooky. There should be _some_ reaction, shouldn't there?

Having one account not working wouldn't matter too much, but I can't get to the Psi MUC!

Works (and worked) fine here.

don't have any problem connecting all day to jabber.ru (and its MSN transport).

Sorry but I don't what can happen to you Clytie :(

Firewall problem ? just to try something :-p

I don't know what's wrong. I can connect to my other servers with no problems. Could someone please explain why my XML console shows absolutely nothing when I try to connect to jabber.ru? It's logging the other servers accurately.

The only thing that's changed is that I had to reinstall Psi after zeroing my disk and reinstalling the system. However, my settings were retrieved from the servers. Evidently the jabber.ru one wasn't. How do I get around that? Shall I try to register my account again?

If you go to Service Discovery can you browse jabber.ru ?

hi,

my (new) server has also muc chatrooms. The only "problem" are the chatlogs, i don't know how create the index.htm, with all days, automatically. Also amessage.de has muc support.

my server is a jabberd1.4: -> talking.dyndns.org

SSL is also avaible, but with a self signed cert. I'm a new jabber server admin, so i have to learn  ;) . The transports are not very stable.

Been there once or twice, long ago. And I was alone then. Since Psi doesn't support hidden groupchats and I'm not willing to keep another window open, I'm not there actually...

To be honest, I'm not there as often as I should be.  I'm sure this will improve when we have MUC support.  I know for a fact that Nolan has "add MUC to roster" planned.

No, just join the groupchat. It's as simple as pointing your mouse to Join Groupchat in Psi menu. If you want to join Psi MUC, then please remember that we have moved it to psi@conference.psi-im.org.
